The very first issue of Moorit is a celebration of our love for crochet... for its innate beauty, versatility, and suitability to all types of garments and accessories. The designs showcase a wide range of techniques, including Tunisian, tapestry and intarsia colorwork, front/back posts stitches, and amigurumi.

Issue 1 includes 140 pages featuring three sweaters, a vest, a skirt, a pair of socks, two shawls, a hat, a matching cowl and mitten set, and an amigurumi design. Plus, there's an embroidered handkerchief project to make and an article about the impact of industrialization on garment fitting. We just know you are going to love this magazine!

With designs by... Alyson Chu, Anne-Michelle Phelan, Aoibhe Ni, Clarisabeth Lopez Rodriguez, Eline Alcocer, Fay Dashper-Hughes, Jessie Van In, Liliana Buce-Chmelko, Linda Skuja, Rosina Northcott, and Stephanie Erin.

Issue 2 is Moorit's first take on the warmer seasons. Our designers looked to the sea for our Issue 2 theme, Clear Waters, to create pieces that feel like a breath of fresh coastal air.

Discover 12 patterns inspired by the movement of the ocean, the colours of the seaside, and magical moments on the beach. And with 8 tops to choose from, you'll be sure to find the perfect spring garment to make.

Plus, a tasty recipe from Helda Penagary and a feature on The Birlinn Yarn Company by Meg Rodgers.

Issue 3

We're taking you on an interstellar mission to discover 10 celestial crochet designs for autumn and winter in our 'Cosmic' issue. Our designers went starry-eyed as they looked upwards for inspiration. The designs explore a variety of astronomical phenomena from binary star systems and gaseous nebulae to the invisible movements of heavenly bodies. You'll find elegant textures and colours that reflect the awesome and sublime beauty of the cosmos.

In this issue, Fay Dashper-Hughes runs an experiment, exploring how using yarn unders can radically change the look and feel of crocheted fabric compared to the traditional yarn overs.

In our most colourful issue to date, 'Sweet Shop' features 11 mouth-watering designs to celebrate the warmer months. Our designers have dug into the candy bag of their imaginations to create tops and shawls with delectable details.

Issue 4 is big on garments, with a whopping 8 tops to make. That includes not only a tank top and 5 other short-sleeve tops, but 2 light-weight jumpers for the cooler days of spring. And if you're needing a wee break from the big projects, the issue also includes a large shawl, a one-skein scarf and the cutest quick-make beret. So chic!
