The "Ten Stitch Blanket" is one of the most popular patterns on Ravelry, with more than 5,700 projects. It has been translated into 10 languages. And, it's free!
All the way through making this entire blanket, you will only ever be knitting rows of 10 stitches at a time. Plus, you can use any yarn at any gauge that pleases you. It is the ultimate "stash-buster" project.
This class launches you on your very own Ten Stitch Blanket project by walking you through the pattern's instructions. Chiaki will add her own, further instructions to make the project even nicer. You will learn techniques such as how to change colors and various methods of picking up stitches.
Chiaki contributed the Ten Stitch Blanket translation to Japanese. In collaboration with the Ten Stitch Blanket's designer, Frankie Brown and Chiaki, we will donate 10% of the class fee to the Children's Liver Disease Foundation.
Materials to bring:
- The Ten Stitch Blanket pattern by Frankie Brown. Secure your copy HERE.
- Yarn. Bring 2 to 3 colors of worsted- or chunky-weight yarn. Lighter colors make stitches easier to see. We like using Malabrigo Worsted Merino or Rios, Plymouth Galway Worsted as well as Malabrigo Mecha and Ella Rae Cozy Alpaca Chunky. Lighter-weight yarns work too, though the heavier weight yarns will allow you to move further in the class.
- Needles. Bring double-pointed needles appropriate for your yarn.
- Notions. Locking stitch markers.
