Course Description

Knit a coaster (or mug rug) to learn the technique of two-color double knitting. This double-thick fabric has two "right" sides! The technique is also great for baby blankets, pot holders, scarves, and other items where the floats shouldn't show. An interesting and unusual technique!

Prerequisites
Intermediate- to advanced-level knitter; no previous double knitting experience is required.

Skills Learned
Double knitting using two colors of yarn.

Supplies
Worsted- or DK-weight smooth yarn in 2 contrasting solid colors; needles in an appropriate size for your yarn (or slightly smaller); something to mark your place on a chart.
