If no one has showed up for class by 4:20 pm, the class will be cancelled for that day. Please be respectful of the teacher's time.

Kids Crafting:

We are very excited to announce the return of Kids Crafting to Avenue Yarns. Children ages 7+ can come and learn how to knit, crochet, or finger knit. Or work on a project they have already started. Knitting and crochet are great ways to learn hand eye coordination skills, make cool projects and make new friends.

Supplies to get you started are available for purchase or you can bring your own!

Gem Mahusay (they/them) is an Albany mixed media and fiber artist. They are a hands on crafty person, who especially likes to crochet clothing. Recently they finished crocheting the pants for their wedding outfit, and are already onto the next project! Gem has taught many various age groups how to be successful in a craft and is excited to join in on the making at Avenue Yarns. 

We are hopeful that crafting classes will inspire a lifelong love of fiber arts, and gift each student with the practical arts of knitting, crochet, and more.

 Here are the details of our new kids crafting program.

What: One and a half hour group sessions in our classroom with Haley working on knitting, crocheting, finger knitting, even macrame. 

Who: Children ages 7+

When: Thursday 4:00-5:30 PM

Sign up ahead of time in the store or online $25

5 class pass (punch card) $110
